Hi folks,

Just wanted to inform all clients that our new system will be online tomorrow, Wednesday July 15, 2009. The update will be after all publisher payment has been paid. During the update you should expect an hour of downtime meaning advertisers will not get traffic to their campaign and publishers to not receive any ads. We will try to implement the update as fast as we can to minimized the inconvienences

Advertisers, please note that for all popunder packages there will be a price increased of $0.25 cpm for all packages. I’ve contacted all the current and active popunder advertisers about the changes and for those who have responded and agreed to the change we will automatically transferred your campaigns over to our new system. For those advertisers who did not respond your campaigns will be paused and funds will be transferred back to your account.

The new system is an improvement based on all of your feedbacks upon using our old system and it should be more user friendly. In the next few weeks, tutorials will be uploaded for you to help with using our system and as always you can feel free to come on live support or email your questions to me at annie@adonion.com.

Thank you for your patiences!

Dear Advertisers,

As many advertisers had a number of concerns about the ad marketplace such as if I purchase 1 day, 7 days or 30 days how many impressions will I actually get? Most of the time, the traffic volume is unknown.

The main concern with advertisers are the cost and traffic they will received in order to justify if the purchase if worthwhile or not. As a result, we have changed our marketplace so that everything will be on a cost per impressions (CPM) basis so that advertisers will know exactly what they will received for the total amount they purchase.

In addition, there are some advertisers that created campaigns but the publishers takes their time in approving the ad. Therefore, we’ve also updated our marketplace to only show publishers that have verified their site as well as their ad zone so that advertisers will receive a faster response upon creating a campaign with our publishers.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about the updates or if you have further suggestions. Thanks!

Dear Publishers,

We have now changed all ad zone rates from Cost Per Day (CPD – 1 day, 7 days and 30 days) to CPM/CPC, as many advertisers are concerned about the amount of traffic received from a CPD campaign. In order to benefit both advertisers from paying for what they ordered as well as providing more opportunities for our publishers we’ve made the change to our system.

For the new CPM and CPC ad zones, you can now set your rates according to countries. You can now state the CPM/CPC rate for US, Canada, Australia and UK and International rates. Please note when you state the International rate it will include all countries not mentioned above and the advertisers are able to select the country they wish to advertise in upon the creation of the campaign.

In addition, many advertisers are concerned about getting a campaign started with a publisher but the publisher forgets to include the ad code to their site even though they approved the campaign. As a result, we’ve changed our ad code so we can minimize these kind of situation from happening.

Publishers are now able to place code on their site and state the rate you want and only ads that meets your rate will appear. We also give publishers the option to review the ad before the ad appears on the website, still providing you with more control over the ads you displayed.

Here is what you will find on the ‘Ad Zone Creation Page’ or if you are a current publisher and want to revised your settings you may find it beside your ad zone at the ‘Optimize’ button.

I only want ads that meets my minimum rate to be displayed in my ad zone

- I pre-approve all ads that meets my minimum rate

- I would like to approve all ads before they are displayed on my website

I want to displayed all ads available from AdOnion

If you have any questions about the CPM/CPC change or getting code don’t hesitate to contact me at annie@adonion.com or send us an inquiry using the contact form.

Thank you for the attention and have a nice weekend!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend and all fresh to start the new week.

Today at AdOnion, we’ve change our daily spending cap so that you are able to reach out to more visitors. Before when you enter a daily spending cap your campaign will start be activated on 12:00 AM EST daily until your campaign runs out of funds. As we’ve asked our advertisers for their feedbacks in our system, upgrading our daily spending cap so that the funds can spread out throughout the day would help provide the advertisers with a more effective campagin, and thus we’ve made the change this morning. We’ve modify the database so that the new algorithm which control the display of ads will now spread out the spending of the campaign throughout the day, displaying your ads to visitors at various times of the day increasing your reach.

Once again we thank you all the advertisers who have provided us with the feedback If there are more features that can help you in achieving a better campaign with us feel free to let us know anytime.

Thanks!

Dear Publishers,

Due to the popular demands of both publishers and advertisers we’ve finally started with our country specific targeting. A lot of reputable publishers have asked us whether they are able to charge different CPM rates according to countries, as this is the way they charged their advertisers instead of the whole ad zone space for the site. We’ve carefully thought about the feedbacks given to us and evaluated the process and believe that this is a mutually beneificial feature that we should add to our system that can help both publishers and advertisers looking to geo-target their campaign but doesn’t want to pay for traffic they can’t convert due to geographic regions.

We found that the main countries that publishers usually give out rates to are US, Canada, UK, Australia and International, therefore in our system publishers are able to set rates according to these geographical regions. For all publishers that would like to get started, feel free to login to our system => Manage Ad Zone => Go to the specific ad zone and enter the CPM rates you would like to charge for that country. Please also noticed that there is a minimum purchase that you would need to enter. This will provide you with a minimum purchase amount from the advertiser in making the campaign worthwhile for you.

I’ve provided some screen shots to help you make these changes to your ad zone:

Step 1: Login to your account

Step 2: From the publisher menu choose ‘Manage Ad Zones’

Step 3: Beside all your ad zones you will now see a CPM Rate column where you can fill out the minimum purchase amount, the rates targeted to Canada, US, UK, Australia and International. Please note, when the advertiser selects International, they are able to pick any countries they would like to target from our site list.

As I get questions from publishers on a daily basis asking what type of ads should I placed on my website and which ad format earns more money, we have included stats in our system to inform our publishers about the campaigns our advertisers are setting up. Now you can see the information yourself and judge what kind of ad format you should use for your website.

This information is available when you go to the ‘Create Zone’ page, and the graph is shown on top of the page providing you with the information before you start creating your ad zone. The graph will be able to tell you the percentage of campaigns that make are active and their ad format, and you from the graph you will have an idea of what ad format is needed to help you earn more money for your website.

In addition, if you decide to choose graphical banners we have another graph telling which graphical banner size is in demand.

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and well rested for the week ahead.

This morning we have implemented a new feature to our advertiser’s campaign, now all advertiser’s campaign will be on pending until the campaign is reviewed either by the admin if it is a package campagin or by the publisher if it’s a site specific campaign. This will control the quality of the ads and ensure that the advertiser is complying to the TOS, creating a better environment to advertisers, publishers, and website visitors.

Please note the change and all campaigns should be approved within 24 business hours.
