Getting impressions are important for publishers since advertisers are looking for the better rate and impressions that publishers have to offer. Publishers attempt to monetize their site by placing ads such as text, graphical banners, popunders and interstitials. But what if your impressions have slowed down and the revenue from your site is not like it used to be? So what to do now? You need impressions fast to help you and advertisers earn money. Yes you can use twitter and facebook but that means it may take some time creating a fan page and building your twitter followers. The easiest and fastest way would be to advertise using a network whether it be AdOnion, Google or Clicksor.

At AdOnion not only do you know where your ad is targeted, but you can also pause sites that are underperforming and increase the funds spent on those sites that are performing. Publishers can use AdOnion’s advertiser services to increase the impressions on their site and increase their overall potential revenue. For example, using a graphical banner will cost you $0.20 CPM. Let’s say your daily budget is $2. That is for 10,000 views. Then let’s say 10% of the people click on your ad and your site pops up. That’s 1000 clicks. Having popunders in ‘package A’ they are $4 CPM.

This means that for popunders only, you would have made $4 from the 1000 clicks to view your site. Plus on your site you will have other ads such as text, graphical banners and interstitials. This means you will more than double your money and make the increased returns you always wanted from your site.

This not only helps you, but also advertisers as they would have advertised on your site and are looking for more traffic and conversions. Overall, this is not only good for publishers to increase their impressions and revenue, but it is also good for advertisers too. For advertisers, they will benefit by having increased traffic and more exposure of their offers to be promoted online resulting in better conversions.

Leanr why the merchant directory is useful as a publisher.

As a publisher, your intent is to make as much earnings as possible. You simply submit your site for approval and advertisers will contact you and we will place ads on your site as well. As a publisher, you can also take control of the revenue you receive by requesting advertisers to place their ad on your site. By visiting the Merchant Directory, publishers are able to see a listing of advertisers and their offers. The publisher can sort by channel, cost metric or ad format and view the details of a particular campaign. Below is a snapshot of the Merchant Directory:

Once the sorting is done, a publisher can also see the daily limit of campaigns and click to view the details to show the target country, offer price, category and ad type as shown below:

So what is the power of the Merchant Directory?
Publishers have the power and control to view, sort and request ads to be displayed on their site with AdOnion’s Merchant Directory. To view our Merchant Directory, please click here.

To all publishers,

As AdOnion.com is partnering up with other ad networks to help publishers increase their fill rates as well revenue, we are getting some complaints about suspicious ads. This problem is seen in every network and is unpreventable. We would like to use this post to inform publishers how they can increase their fill rates while decreasing their risks with suspicious ads while publishing with AdOnion. As we all knows, if the advertiser has the heart to cheat, they will do it no matter how tight your monitoring is.

Partner’s ads are partners that AdOnion has partnered up with to help deliver more ads to our network and creating additional earnings to publishers. With this said, AdOnion has no control over the content or quality of the ads as we are unable to see the ads ourselves since they are hosted on our partner’s network.

Publishers, upon signing up for an account and submitting your URL, the default option on the users account will be to display the partner’s ads. Publishers, if you do not wish to display our partner’s ad, you would need to go to your ‘Get Code’ page and check off ‘no’ under partner’s ads . When you opt out the partner’s ads, your earning will correspondently decrease due to fewer ads.

The advantage of publishing with AdOnion is that AdOnion is a transparent marketplace, meaning that all ads from AdOnion will be seen by all publishers to minimize the occurance of suspicious ads as publishers can check for them too. You are able to check all ads running in the AdOnion network by going to ‘My Zones’ => Available Campaigns to review all the ads and block any ads you wish. In addition by being a publisher, you have access to the merchant directory where you can find ads and request advertisers to place them on your site. This will increase your revenue and give you control over choosing your favorite advertisers.

If you have any questions about Partner’s Ads, feel free to contact your account manager.

Thanks!

Hope all is well.

I would like to inform you that we have successfully transferred to our new system and interface yesterday. I would like to take this moment to say ‘Thank you’ for your patience with our earlier version of AdOnion. We have created the new system with your feedbacks and a lot of flexibility, if you have any questions, comments or feedbacks in regards to the new system don’t hesitate to let me know.

In addition, I would like to remind you to login to our system to make changes to your ad zone rates. During the transfer we’ve used default values and may not reflect on your desire rates, please feel free to make the changes. You can go to ‘My Ad Zone’ => ‘Pricing’ to change the rates for your ad zone, don’t forget to save it. In addition at the moment all ads are pre-approve, if you wish to approve all the ads before it shows in your marketplace please go to ‘My Zone’ => ‘Ad Settings’ and switch the pre-approve to off.

We also know that the serving is slow right now, our tech is working on it to bring back up your earnings.

Sorry for the inconveniences!

Dear Publishers,

We have now changed all ad zone rates from Cost Per Day (CPD – 1 day, 7 days and 30 days) to CPM/CPC, as many advertisers are concerned about the amount of traffic received from a CPD campaign. In order to benefit both advertisers from paying for what they ordered as well as providing more opportunities for our publishers we’ve made the change to our system.

For the new CPM and CPC ad zones, you can now set your rates according to countries. You can now state the CPM/CPC rate for US, Canada, Australia and UK and International rates. Please note when you state the International rate it will include all countries not mentioned above and the advertisers are able to select the country they wish to advertise in upon the creation of the campaign.

In addition, many advertisers are concerned about getting a campaign started with a publisher but the publisher forgets to include the ad code to their site even though they approved the campaign. As a result, we’ve changed our ad code so we can minimize these kind of situation from happening.

Publishers are now able to place code on their site and state the rate you want and only ads that meets your rate will appear. We also give publishers the option to review the ad before the ad appears on the website, still providing you with more control over the ads you displayed.

Here is what you will find on the ‘Ad Zone Creation Page’ or if you are a current publisher and want to revised your settings you may find it beside your ad zone at the ‘Optimize’ button.

I only want ads that meets my minimum rate to be displayed in my ad zone

- I pre-approve all ads that meets my minimum rate

- I would like to approve all ads before they are displayed on my website

I want to displayed all ads available from AdOnion

If you have any questions about the CPM/CPC change or getting code don’t hesitate to contact me at annie@adonion.com or send us an inquiry using the contact form.

Thank you for the attention and have a nice weekend!

As we’re wrapping up the year and looking at the economic conditions out there, publishers are often worried about their reduced earnings in the past few months or about their earnings for next year. For publishers if you re-think your plans and open up to more ideas there’s plenty of opportunities coming your way!

Here are some ideas that you can think about:

Think about your website’s content: It is always to keep updating the content of your site (this is especially important for blogs), you will increase your subscribers/member’s participation to your site as well as attract new audiences. Afterall, when advertiser is making a purchase with you they will evaluate the rate they are charging against the visitors that they will receive.

AdOnion’s Tips For Our Publishers: You should fill out as much information that you know about your website as possible, with a clear description of your site, number of impressions, Alexa ranking, and the audience’s location in which your website attracts. Also remember to verify your site, verifiying your site provide potential advertisers with confidence when they’re considering advertising on your site. All these information can be updated under ‘My Site.’

Analyzing Your Stats and Optimize: I know that this is obvious t for publishers, but do a more thorough comparison such as stats from last year to this year, one ad network to another, compare click through rates, visitors visit length etc. From analyzing your website’s stats and pulling different types of information, you will noticed trends, you can see if the changes are due to the economic conditions or a specific cause from implementing new ideas. Then from the trends and tracing back to the root cause of the change optimize your website accordingly. You should think in the advertiser’s point of view and if you were an advertiser on your site, what should be done to optimize the site. In addition, SEO is equally important as users often uses search engines to bring them the information they need so do some research on a few keywords you would like to be found by and optimize your website accordingly.

AdOnion’s Tips For Our Publishers: AdOnion can also help publishers in managing their ads within their ad zone. You can implement various ad network’s ad within the same ad zone and give them weight for distribution control, this way you can see from your stats which ad network is earning you more money and set a higher distribution to those ads. You can go to My Ad Zones => Optimize to access the feature under ‘default ads.’

Communication: If you are working directly with your advertisers, you should ask your advertisers for their feedback on how their ad is doing in your ad zone. It’s important to communicate and let the advertiser know that you care and you’re willing to work with them.

AdOnion’s Tips For Our Publishers: You are always welcome to ask your account manager about what they think of your site and ask them for professional experience.

Test Different Ad Formats and Pricing Models: Be open to testing new ad formats, as the economy have change so has the response of the advertisers. See what you can offer in the spaces you have available to your site and try new ad formats, pricing models and ad sizes. Let your advertisers know about the new format, provide them with a discount or a bundle when they purchase advertising directly from you to test and provide you with feedback.

AdOnion’s Tips For Our Publishers: AdOnion offers text banners, graphical banners, full page popunders and interstitials. You should test with these ad formats and see which one yields the best revenue, be open do different pricing models such as CPC, CPM, CPV, CPI. Also you can implement our link bar located on top of your site to let visitors to your site know that you are accepting advertising. Also don’t forget now we also offer country-targeted option under CPM in addition to our CPD option. It’s another way we try to help to provide advertisers with more advertising opportunities to your site. If you haven’t done so go to My Ad Zones and fill out the CPM/CPD rates for your ad zones.
